In 23 years of bike racing, I’ve had a few bike fits. When I found the Faster Wind Tunnel website online two years ago, I saw a video of Aaron Ross describing the biomechanical reasons for the changes he made in a bike fit. I was impressed. I thought, “Yes, I need to know the ‘why’ behind the ‘what’”. This is what Faster does, with their fitting. If you want to know why your bike will go faster with your body, in a particular position, and your bike parts in a particular “set up”, then Faster is the place to go. Over the last two years, I have taken my road bike, time trial bike, fixed gear training bike, track bike, and mountain bike, to Faster, to get them fit. I am in complete awe when I ride. I can ride for hours and not feel pain from the fit of my bike. I highly recommend making the trip to Faster, (no matter where you live), to do it right, once and for all. ~LAUREL GREEN, 3 time Silver Medalist (2K IP, Points), UCI Master’s Track World Championships, (2015-2016), USA Cycling Level 1 Certified Coach.
The staff at FASTER are the best in the business period! I feel like riding my bike again. I use to use tons of chamois cream prior to my fit, now I use none. My average power has increased on both my road bike and TT bike due to the new position. If it’s been awhile since you have been fit on your bike or are thinking of a new bike you need to see the folks at FASTER. If you feel like you are not able to generate the power you think you should be able to go to FASTER they are the BEST!
I won’t ride a new bike without first having Faster fit me on it. In the past two years, I have been fit on no less than six different bikes; mountain, TT, cross and road. Their attention to detail and adjustments have resulted in significant increases in my performance and comfort on the bike. Significant, meaning nearly 20% increase in my FTP!
A comprehensive bike fit is the best cycling investment you can make. In addition, to being more comfortable on my bike, I left my fit session in a more aerodynamic position and producing greater power. I enthusiastically encourage anyone who rides a bike—beginner or veteran—to work with the fit team at Faster for a proper bike fit.
